In happy-making news, the ace bigbang is going to happen for reals, only it's going to be BETTER -- a full-blown people-who-aren't-straight-or-cis bigbang. I already babbled at

biichan about it, but it's so awesome that I had to share with EVERYONE. Hmm, maybe somebody will put it on

fandomcalendar and there'll be participants on the dw side? That would be cool! Anyway, that's a thing (an awesome thing!!).

Speaking of which, I was just glancing at the most recent ... events, and found something beautiful. OMG. I love OT3s and ship them across all my fandoms, and somebody's already volunteered for my very favourite one. Maybe I could get up the nerve to suggest a prompt? ...eh, probably not. (I get ridiculously nervous about these things! But still, a OT3 prompt is a thing of beauty.)

So apparently I will never run out of these (eta: holy crap there were a lot of them). And I'm gearing up for my essay on the eighteenth-century sublime as a tool of masculine domination (we were supposed to use Northanger Abbey but I got the okay to use Sanditon instead) and a final for my Bible-as-literature class and a revision/four-page-explanation of revision, so.

I wonder if anybody can guess my favourite character. *whistling*

Yes, I'm part of the slavering horde of Empire ~~fanboys~~ ~~fangirls~~ fans. Yes, there are many, many, many other people who have waxed eloquent about it (most notably, Roger Ebert). But I haven't, much, and in the wake of the quasi-backlash following Irvin Kershner's death, I felt the urge to stop ranting for a day and instead talk about why The Empire Strikes Back turns my pupils into little pink hearts.

At twenty-four, I'm pulling my first all-nighter. 4:30 in the morning ZOMG. *yawn*

Anyway! Thoughts on the rest of the OT:

-- the "~~Luke~~ No, I am your father" scene is every bit as amazing as I remembered. Again, I've heard complaints about Mark Hamill's acting, but it works for me. If my superpowered cyborg archnemesis had cornered me, pwned me in a duel, chopped off my hand, and then informed me that he was my father and he'd really like to take out our common enemy and have some family togetherness time, do you know what would be the first thing out of my mouth?

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO," that's what.
